everything will be alright

So, that's it. No more Veronica Mars. I never thought I'd be this disappointed about it, since it's been threatened of being cancelled since the middle of season one or so, and maybe part of me thought it'd bounce back like it always did, but apparently not this time. And tonight's episodes, just... ok, time for a cut so I don't spoil things for people.

Ugh. I can't talk about it any more, it's all too fresh. Suffice it to say that I am not happy. :/

Ok, I give up trying to understand this C++ stuff. I didn't really know a lot about it back when I was at the top of my CS game, and I certainly didn't do any Visual C++ then, but I thought I'd be able to do something with it. Instead I'm crawling back to Visual Basic, which should at least meet my needs. Unless I've forgotten even more than I thought I have, ugh.

Also, why the hell did I forget to watch VM yet again? This is kind of alarming. I'll have to remedy that tomorrow, post haste. At least it'll be a good way to start the weekend.

I totally meant to be in bed well over an hour ago. Oh well! I did end up watching the new Veronica Mars episode, which was pretty good, I must say. Maybe since I'm up this late I'll fit in a little reading, it's just as well. Casual Fridays are usually good, though I fear tomorrow's going to be bad for some reason. Let's hope not!

I'll be heading into the city if all goes well, so this means I likely won't be online much. I should get back on Sunday sometime. If you need to get a hold of me for any reason, just fire off an e-mail and I should at least get to read it / reply over the weekend. Later!

Well, after not typing a thing since Friday night, I threw out about 4,000 words in the last few hours and now I'm caught up in NaNo, at 10,001 words. w00t!

I also listened to the rest of that Fallout Boy album, and it's pretty good, I think. Gonna have to listen to it a few more times though, but I like what I've heard so far. And I finished Season One of Veronica Mars on DVD too, so all in all a productive day. :D

Very late though, so off to bed I go. :)

So tired. I meant to go to bed earlier, but eh. Don't have to get up early tomorrow or anything, but I do have to do some work, at least for a bit, so I'd rather get up at a decent (for me anyway) hour and do that so I can enjoy the rest of the day off.

Today was ok, I actually went into the office for a bit. I... can't really remember what else I did. Hmmm. Watched some more Veronica Mars. Oh yeah, there was that string of 5 or 6 hours of hockey that was on tv, hehe. Good times. I meant to work on an outline for my NaNo novel, but that can go back on the "to-do" list I suppose.

Oh yeah, speaking of Veronica Mars and hockey, I saw this clip of Kristen Bell on Letterman, and she likes hockey. :D It's from last fall, and she was talking all about the lockout and whatnot. Just when I thought she couldn't be any more awesome. ♥

Anyway, I really can't think of what else I meant to say. Hmmm. Perhaps I should jot things down when they come to me, 'cause when I'm looking at the update screen, it's just all so :| . Oh well. Off to bed it is!

Ok, I meant to get to bed early tonight, but that so didn't happen. However, there were many good things about today that prevented that, in part.

1.) Work was actually good. Super busy, but I cleared up almost everything I've been worrying about work-wise for the next week. So that's good. :D

2.) Season One of Veronica Mars came out on DVD, and I have it. Already watched the first disc tonight too, heh.

3.) I wrote three more ficlets for fanfic100, which are linked on my table that's here. NaNo 2005, here I come!

There were other good things too, but these come to the top of my mind. Oh, and The Office was hilarious as usual. Plus there's Lost and Veronica Mars tomorrow! I just hope when the other show drops, it doesn't fall too hard. But yes, bed for now. 'Night people! ^_^

Well, heading into the city tomorrow. Should get to see Episode III and other movies maybe. Possibly Lords of Dogtown. And other stuff to be done too. Hmm, it feels like I've written this entry before... possibly because it's very similar to my last one. Oh well! In that case, consider this a testing of one of my new Veronica Mars icons. :D

Finally saw the season finale of Veronica Mars tonight. It was pretty awesome, without getting into details / spoilers. Such a great show, props to witchytara for turning me on to the show. ^_^

Other than that, work's been busy, but thankfully the week's almost over. Looking forward to the concert on Friday night, that should be awesome. I also was reminded that the weekend after the next is a long one, and also the same one that Star Wars Episode III comes out. This is tempting me to go in yet again, but I really, really shouldn't. And besides, Ep III will be around for a nice long time, no real hurry to get in and see it... other than I really wanna see it. :/

Anyway, I should go and read for awhile before I sleep. I always mean to get to bed at an early hour, at least I do when I wake up all tired. But when it starts to get late, I've got all kinds of energy. Weirdness! Oh well, it'll work itself out in time. *nods*

Also, I miss beanarie. I hope she gets home safe and sound, and soon!

So, Veronica Mars is one incredibly cool show. I've only seen the first three episodes so far, but I'm loving it. Very cool. Though I now realize that my tv watching is becoming more and more like my book reading, getting in the middle of many of them at once. I have finished one disc of Season 5 of Angel, one of Season 1 of Dark Angel, one of Season 1 of Tru Calling, and three episodes of Veronica Mars. I should really just watch one at a time, which now should be Tru Calling as it's from the net rental service and the quicker I view those and send them back, the more I get to see. Eh.

I finally got some new guitar strings for my electric yesterday and put them on. Today they were pretty much all stretched out and good for playing, so I rocked out for an hour or so. Woo! New strings = teh awesome. Though you can't really bend them too much... or maybe that's just me, heh. I'm just afraid of spending almost $20 on strings and then breaking them the very first time using them. That'd suck.

Tomorrow is Thursday, I can't wait for the weekend! Though I have court on Monday, which means I might have to work this weekend. D'oh. But it shouldn't be that bad, so I don't think I'll have to do that much in the way of preparation. It'll be nice to sleep in again, and there's a lot I'd like to get done too. Which reminds me, I should do up a 'to do' list for my rps. *does so*

Man, it's late. But it's the weekend, woohoo! Also in the middle of ripping a lot of my cds to the hard drive, so I'l have them all at my fingertips. Nothing to do with my plan to get an iPod sometime soon, nope, not at all. ^^;

I got stamps today too, and I plan to write a bunch of letters over the weekend so I can send them out on Monday. Yay for letters! :D I like getting snail mail, a few friends of mine used to write me a lot while I was away in law school. It was great, I want to get back into the habit of sending more mail. It's great to come home and find an old-fashioned letter waiting for you, even if it is from someone you chat with regularly online.

I also have a lot to watch. I've been trying to get my hands on some Veronica Mars episodes, for which I have i_like_winners to thank hehe. I've seen the pilot now, want to see more. Kristen Bell is awesome. And her dad's the dude that played Elliot on Just Shoot Me! Cool! :D
