Gaming has been pretty darn good lately. Aside from a bit of kin drama, which I can't / won't get into here, it's been a great weekend.
Friday night
believeitup and I got our Aion on, rolling new toons and playing them from scratch up to level 6, I think it was? At any rate, come the live launch of this game we'll both be able to play through the opening areas for both sides with our eyes closed. XD It was fun though, and oh so pretteh. Character creation in this game is a game in and of itself, kinda, or is at least as addicting as playing some games. I made two other characters to completely fill all 8 slots on one server, however I ended up deleting one of them (was kinda meh on him after) and didn't play the other (a ginormous Asmodian Warrior-to-be-Templar).
Saturday was a nice, relaxed day, and I didn't do any gaming at all in the afternoon, instead choosing to watch a movie and surf the net a little. After supper, though, I hopped in LOTRO to make pots and whatnot for that night, as we had a Watcher/turtle raid to do. There was a group going into the hardest instance of the game, but as the wife and I were part of that group last week, we were cycled out this week to let others in. The Watcher fight went ahead as scheduled, and oh boy, we finally got to give him a thrashing. It took two tries but even the first was very smooth up to a spot of bad luck, and the second was silky smooth. We did it without any Captains, even, which is definitely the first time I've done that. And as a result, both
believeitup and I got to complete our Watcher radiance sets. He drops two tokens for armour, usually: either one helm coin and one shoulders coin, or two of each; I needed the helm and my wife needed the shoulders, and he dropped one of each coin. As we were the only mains in the raid who needed those pieces we got them automatically. Yay! Which was great because that fight was kind of a huge albatross to me; I'd only beaten it once since coming to the kin and that was on my Burglar, so that was so, so nice. Then we went on to roll the turtle on our first attempt and lo and behold, but he should drop a 1st age Burglar sword and I was the only Burglar there. XD It's such a fugly sword, omg, you don't even
know (I may take caps later), but I kept it because, well, 1st age. Gonna be awhile before my alt sees one of those since my main doesn't even have one from the kin yet, hehe. It ID'd crappily but I'm going to level it for awhile and see what happens just the same. The kin's DN raid went really well, according to our leader, so people seem to be content with that too, which is good.
Today I'm gonna meet
believeitup in Aion for awhile this afternoon before heading back to LOTRO for the Watcher/turtle later tonight. I thiiiiiiink she's locked out on both of her characters, for the turtle for sure, but we'll see what happens. Then the kin continues DN tonight, but I don't expect to be needed for that unless people can't make it for some reason. Either way, it's been a nice, mixed weekend of two different games and relaxing non-game time interspersed, complete with lots of nice loot. :D
Last but not least, here's a few screencaps to share with y'all. Not many, sadly, but a few Aion ones with a couple LOTRO ones thrown in for good measure. :)
