everything will be alright

Just thought I'd post a quick update here from the office. It's almost 1pm and I normally head home for lunch at this point but I've got a telephone conference to make today, sadly. It'll be ok though, I don't anticipate it being a long one, and after that I'll take my normal lunch break anyway.

Things have been busy with work, super busy, but that's all part of getting ready to leave for a trip really. Speaking of which, only three more sleeps until I can have more believeitup time omg I cannot wait. The last week or two has been especially hard so I am almost down to counting the hours until Saturday afternoon, hehe.

On that front, we also won tickets to the Letterman show for Monday's taping, woo! Though sadly, by we I just mean me and Alex. Christine, who's also going on the trip, put in a submission for her and Joni, and then Alex and I, since you can only request 2 at a time, and at that point we were the only 4 going for sure. So now there's just the two tickets, and they asked for my name and address and such and ditto for Alex, so it's going to be just us two that can get in, d'oh. We may just skip it altogether since it'd leave the three ladies on their own, and I don't really mind. We'll see what happens anyway.

So it's the weekend again, huzzah! I actually had to get up much earlier than usual for a quick business appointment at 10:30am, though even knowing that I didn't get into bed until almost 5am, oops. It was only a quick meeting though to let someone into a house and then to lock up after, so that's been done.

Today I don't really have anything planned. I do intend to go and vote now at the advance polls, since I will be with believeitup during the October 14th election and I do want to vote. After that I may put on a movie or just relax and have a nap, I don't know yet. It's only one more weekend until the trip so maybe I should look at starting some packing, or at least doing up a list of things I want / need to take with me, hmmmm.

Alright, not sure what else to say at the moment so off I go to vote, yay! I hope everyone else is having a good weekend so far. :)

Today is officially my catch up on stuff day. I've been trying to watch / get all the shows I've missed in the last several months, starting with The Office and Supernatural. I picked up s3 of Supernatural earlier this week and now I'm getting the first two of this season so I can watch those in real time. I'm tempted to get Fringe too, not sure if that's any good or not but I'm willing to give it a shot.

I'm also trying to work out some plans for my trip to NYC which is in less than 2 weeks from now omg. Does anyone familiar with the area know of any good restaurants for a nice, half-fancy-yet-not-super-expensive meal? I'm hoping to have a good place for all of us to go when we get there to celebrate the trip, my friend Joni's recent job promotion, and of course being with believeitup again. I've also been trying to find a schedule for whatever Broadway shows will be playing when we're there because I know at least a few of my friends want to go and see something. Any thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated!

Back to trying to track down all of my missing shows, hmmm.

Like the subject says, a quick update before crashing for the night. Things in general are pretty darn good right now, mainly with respect to my personal life outside of work (which is pretty much 100% thanks to the lovely believeitup ♥). Work itself remains a pain, though it hasn't been too, too bad lately. Let's just hope it stays that way. I've been playing a ton of LOTRO which has been fun too, though it means less time for other online stuff, but I'm sure I'll find a good balance eventually.

I'm looking forward to the NYC trip in October, I believe I mentioned it here briefly awhile back. Tickets and hotels have been booked so it's definitely happening. The three friends I'm going with have never been so it should be even more fun experiencing things with them for the first time. Then again it will only be my second time, haha, but still. It will be a blast, and for me an extra trip after NYC to Philadelphia, it will be an amaaaaaazing trip.

And on that note, time for sleep. Hope everyone's doing well!

Work is consistently kicking my ass (I almost typed kissing there, yay for wishful thinking!) and I keep forgetting to post here, but I should make this quick update: I've booked my flight down to NYC for October 11, 2008 and will be staying there for at least 4-5 days. My friends that are coming down have return tickets to fly back on Wednesday the 15th but I may be going to Philadelphia to spend time with the lovely believeitup (and her roomie onlyonechoice too!) then for awhile. So yes, those of you in the area *cough*beanarie*cough* are now put on notice. :)

Ok, I finally finished typing this up tonight, phew. I hope I haven't forgotten anything! There was so, so much to see and do, it was crazy. I'll try to summarize it as best as possible!

Hey all, just a quick post on my sister's friend's laptop while they both lay in bed behind me trying to sleep, oops. >.> Still in Philly, it's been awesome so far and my sister and I hit NYC tomorrow. Boston was amazing, of course, because it was all with everyoung ♥, and Philly has been amazing too, with everyoung, tanya_ltp and beanarie. So much fun omg. I don't even know where to begin and I should prooooobably go to bed since we have to checkout by noon and go catch a train and all.

Anyway, more to come one of these days when I get five minutes all to myself (and a computer along with it), just a quick note to say I'll be home again a week from today... ok, a week from yesterday as it's technically Monday now, heh. Hope everyone's doing well and there will be more to come, including pictures! :D

Today I got confirmation that our tickets to The Daily Show will be waiting for us in NYC, woo! None of the other shows seem to be possible to attend, unless we try to get stand-by tickets for Letterman or Conan, so it's good to know we have at least one sure thing. I'd like to try for Conan but I guess we'll just have to play that one by ear.

[eta] Apparently the Wednesday we're in NYC, Conan is slated to have Andy Richter as a guest with The Shins as the musical guest, holy crap. I think we shall have to take a stab at that, because that would be awesome.
