A little slow on the uptake here, whoops, but only just realized it was two years and one week ago, or two years ago to the day from last Monday, Thanksgiving up here, that [livejournal.com profile] believeitup made me the happiest man alive by agreeing to marry me in NYC, d'aww. ♥ So yeah, pretty damn thankful for that. :D

Now back to your regularly scheduled work day. XD

Ugh. While I love, love, loooooove going away for vacations (especially when they involve, you know, getting engaged and all that good stuff) I despise coming back to work after them. Things just build up so much, even when you're only gone for a week (with one of those weekdays being a national holiady), and it's such a pain trying to catch up with them while staying on top of everything else. Here's hoping that next week will be better, because this one? Was a paaaaaain. It culminated with me finally getting something done for a client who was complaining about nothing being done, in this case getting a rental vehicle for them, and then them saying that eh, it was too late in the day and they wouldn't bother to go get it now until Monday and they'd have another weekend without a vehicle. Do they want me to pick it up, deliver it to them, and then chauffeur them around too? Gah, it's just... I'm glad it's Friday. Sadly I will have to put in some time this weekend too as the boss gave me something else to do too, as if I didn't already have a full damn plate.

ANYWAY. Tonight I have the house to myself, and I've been gathering tons and tons of music to put on my shiny new iPod I got from the Apple Store in NYC. I've put a few movies on there too from the few DVDs I have that come with digital versions of the film (currently just Juno and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, though I think the newest Harry Potter one has a digital version too, I just haven't opened it yet). I've also been watching hockey, and as I type mah girl is on her way home from work so I should get to spend some quality time with her online too, woo, which makes for a very relaxing night indeed. Tomorrow I have a birthday party and an early Hallowe'en party to attend too, to see some friends I haven't seen in ages. It's kinda bad timing because [livejournal.com profile] believeitup has this weekend off but I'll be around tonight and Sunday too (aside from working a bit, gah) so it'll be ok.

Alright, time to run off and get something to eat before hanging out with my fiancée. Hope everyone's having a good Friday night themselves and will have a good weekend too! :)

airport time!

So, I caved and decided to buy an hour of wireless access while waitng outside of Gate 144 in the Pearson International Airport in lovely Toronto, ON. Only another 30-odd mins. until departure and I presume we'll board soon, so I won't get to use all of the time, but what the heck.

I've been meaning to make a post just about ever since I arrived in the US last Saturday, but it's been a very busy trip with a lot of travelling and I simply haven't had time to write anything sadly. So here's a quick update of the important parts of the trip, with a caveat that photos and a more detailed description will be done up in the next few days, you know, once I get home and stuff.

Stuff! )

Ahahaha as soon as I made the cut tag they announced pre-boarding for my flight, so I should start shutting down. But there you have it, that's the only real important announcement to make, the other details can all wait. Hope all is well with everyone else and look forward to having time to review LJ and talk to y'all soon to see how you've been. :)
