canadiandiamondToday was pretty busy... I didn't end up going to the wedding after all. It was kinda the whole reason I came in and all, but oh well. Actually, no, the reason for coming in was to see some friends I hadn't seen in ages, one in particular, and that was accomplished Friday night. Annnnd I might meet up with them tomorrow too, so here's hoping that happens.
Today I just get on the go until later, and my sister was home all day with her boyfriend not getting home until 3am, so I hung out with her instead. I found out Friday night that the wedding was in a small church (pews that seat 5, 13 rows of 2x2 = 130 people, and apparently 120-odd were invited for the reception part), so I figured there'd be no room for me anyway. And it's way outside of the city, in an area I'm totally unfamiliar with, even though I had directions. Plus everyone (except one person) was all "thanks for coming out to say hi, take care!" on Friday, not a soul mentioned coming to the wedding, even just to watch and not as a guest. I mean, I didn't expect a last-minute invitation to the reception or anything, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for a warmer response, heh. Oh well, it's alright.
I did manage to spend copious amounts of money, at any rate. Thanks to good sales on DVDs, I got The Matrix / THX-1138 (2-for-1 bundle that was cheaper than either of them separately x.x), Caddyshack / Blazing Saddles (ditto), Clerks: The Cartoon and The End of The Affair. And the new Foo Fighters double cd too, 'cause the little I've heard from it so far has been good. No more spending money for, like, a year now. Or at least the rest of the month. Shh, I know it's only a few more days. -.-;
Anyway, off to bed. Here's hoping I can meet up with my friend tomorrow one more time... Lord knows how long it'll be before I see her again. It was over 2 years before the last time I saw her. ;_;
