Ahhh, NHL Centre Ice Package, how I love thee. Nothing like rolling out of bed in the late afternoon, getting a quick shower and a bowl of cereal and turning on the tv to see an afternoon game. Buffalo and Atlanta at 3:30pm, by the time it's over it'll be supper time and shortly after that there'll be another game at 8:30pm.

Our internet was down on Friday night unfortunately, so instead I just played more Rock Band, finishing the vocal portion on Medium difficulty. It was a pretty early night for me, for a Saturday anyway, and I think by the time I went to bed I was so exhausted I didn't even read or anything like I usually do. We only had to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but I was still not used to getting up that early again, hehe. Here's hoping my sleep schedule isn't thrown off yet again by my massive amounts of sleeping in this weekend.

Yesterday started off like today, catching an afternoon game between Dallas and Detroit and then others throughout the night. I also got a chance to bust out the electric guitar when the folks headed out for a few hours, playing along with a little weezer and messing around for awhile. I really need to get a new set of strings for both my guitars, the acoustic especially since I broke one on Friday night, heh. I actually do have a new set for that one but I've just been too lazy to change them, perhaps I will today. The rest of Saturday was filled with playing The Lord of the Rings Online which I've gotten back into big time lately. My best friend from my MUN days, who's back home in Saskatchewan now, is playing it a lot too which makes it even more fun to play. We've been in a bunch of MMORPGs together over the years, it's a neat way to stay in touch I think.

My plans for today are to perhaps spend a few more hours in Middle Earth, though a thought occurred to me last night. I've been meaning to read more for awhile now but it's hard to get through things when you only spend 30-60 mins. tops reading before bed each night. I was thinking of setting aside my Sunday afternoons or evenings (or both on slow days) to whatever book I was in the middle of at the time, maybe that would help. I've also been tempted to try and read a book a week this year as a resolution of sorts but I honestly don't know if I could do that. I'm 1/3 through the second His Dark Materials book which I could probably finish today if I got right into it, maybe I'll try to do that too.

Nothing much else to report. All the Christmas decorations are taken down now on old Christmas Day, so the place looks normal again which is kinda depressing. Christmas felt over for me last week when my sister went back home, since hanging out with her is one of the biggest parts of the holiday for me, but it's definitely done once all the decorations are gone. It's snowing out now today too, though I don't think we're going to get any storms any time soon.

Alright, I'm off to watch some hockey while I either read or roam about Middle Earth, either of which I'm sure should be great fun. Hope everyone else had a fun weekend!
