Yuletide 2015 Dear Author Letter

Hi dear author,

First off, thank you for writing me something, and I'm sure I'll love whatever it is you decide to write! I can't wait to see what you come up with, and hopefully you've had fun writing it as well.

I'm not all that picky when it comes to requests, as you'll no doubt see when you read my notes below. Happy endings, sad endings, major character death, angst, all are ok with me. The only things I really don't want to see are incest, underage, rape/non-con, and dubcon, please.

With that being said, here's some more specific comments on the fandoms I've requested:


Father Ted: Dougal McGuire, Jack Hackett, Mrs. Doyle, Ted Crilly

This is such a hilarious show and I'm so sad that it never got to finish on its own terms after the passing of Dermot Morgan, who played Father Ted. It's such a great show, and the cast really works exceptionally well together too. I'm especially fond of the relationship between Ted and Dougal and how they play off against one another. I'd love to read more about all of them as they get into all kinds of shenanigans. Whatever you'd like to write involving them will be awesome I'm sure. :)


Log Horizon: Akatsuki (Log Horizon)

Full admission: I've never really been a huge anime fan. My wife got me into this show, however, and I'm really grateful that she did. Akatsuki has above and beyond been my favourite character, perhaps largely due to being the exact kind of character I'd play in the game (and have played in various iterations in many other MMOs). I'd really love to read something focused on her, either before the beginning of the show, maybe with her leveling up or grinding for in-game money/items, or with her on a solo mission after the events that trapped them online. You can include some of the other characters if you'd like, but I'd prefer it to focus on her more so than anyone else.


New Girl: Jessica Day (New Girl), Schmidt (New Girl), Nick Miller, Winston Bishop

I'm actually a little behind on this show, whoops, but I love the characters so much that I had to request it. I picked the core roommates from the first few seasons, since that's what I know best, though I don't really mind if you want to include Coach or Cece if you want. These are the four I know and love the best, and as long as the plot focuses on them that's fine. Whatever you want to write would be awesome, I'm sure. :)


Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy Schmidt, Titus Andromedon

This show came out of nowhere to become one of my favourites, and is one of the few shows I've actually watched in its entirety more than once. I'm just itching for some more Kimmy and Titus hijinks, and anything you want to write would be great! Maybe they go to a Broadway show together, or try to write their own musical, which they somehow get to perform off Broadway... well, off off off off off off Broadway. Like on their sidewalk. Feel free to include any other characters too as long as those two are the focus.


Zombieland (2009): Columbus (Zombieland), Little Rock, Tallahassee (Zombieland), Wichita

This is my perennial Yuletide request. I still love these four characters, and am a huge fan of Columbus/Wichita. I'd love to see more fic of this extremely dysfunctional family as they make their way through the aftermath of the apocalypse. Maybe they try to settle down and that causes all kinds of new issues/problems, or they run into other survivors. Or perhaps they stumble across whatever (or whoever) caused the apocalypse in the first place. Pre-movie fic would be interesting too, since we really didn't see much of that in the movie (especially with Tallahassee).

This would also be an awesome fandom to cross over with The Walking Dead, should one be so inclined. This is totally optional of course, but in reading the optional Yuletide tags/challenges I figured this would be a good fit. :)
