Stole it from [livejournal.com profile] writteninsable:

Comment to this post, and I will list seven things I want you to talk about. They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal. Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.

TSA I've not really had a lot of dealings with the TSA, believe it or not. The most I can remember from them is having a "Inspected by the TSA" pamphlet in my suitcase sometimes, and definitely in the case I brought my banjo home in, when they searched through things coming back to Canada across the border. I've never really had a bad experience with the American side of things, all my run-ins (and again nothing too serious) have been with the Canadian side coming back home.

Pickup trucks I don't know much about trucks to be honest. Dad has always talked about getting one, and has had several over the years in his seemingly never ending pattern of buying vehicles and trading them in for other ones, but every time he gets a truck it's the same thing: gas is too expensive, can't afford to keep it. Yet every year or two he has one for a few weeks. XD I can definitely see the utility in owning one, especially living around here, and especially if you're an outdoors person who goes ATV riding or skidoo riding often, just get a little trailer and you're good to go. Me, not so much, really.

Zombies I really don't have much time for or interest in horror movies, to be honest, but (almost) anything to do with zombies and I'm in. Don't ask me why, it doesn't really make sense, but there you have it. I remember renting Night of the Living Dead ages ago for some reason, despite not liking horror, and loving it. I own a bunch of them now and will almost always go check out a zombie movie in theatres when I can. The only exception to the rule is anything involving fast zombies. Just, no. Wrong. Just do not want in any way, shape, or form. Simon Pegg wrote a nice little piece about it a few years back, let's see, if my Google-fu is any good... aha, here it is. I also will read anything about zombies too, like the Max Brooks survival handbook and World War Z, plus a bunch of other stuff. And I'm anxious to try the new Zombies, Run! app for my Android, once they release that version. :D

Paralegals Ahh, paralegals. I've not worked with many, believe it or not, as most of the legal assistants we've had here over the years didn't take paralegal courses but instead picked things up over the years. That being said, they are awesome and indispensable omg. I know I really feel it when my own assistant is gone for a day, let alone on vacation for a week or two. It's hard enough to keep up with things as it is but without your right hand it's even harder. Paralegals give you more of an edge because they can do some research for you too, finding case law, precedents, etc., which I've never really had; we had one at our office with almost 20 years' experience but she was the boss's assistant and left a few years back. Occasionally she'd help me out and it was awesome, so I miss that, heh.

Defining words Not sure what was meant by this but I'm assuming it's meant to be words I'd use to define myself, maybe? If so I'll try to stay positive, haha. :D Which would make the first one self-deprecating, perhaps, heh. Funny, or at least I attempt to be, punny for sure because, um, yeah. XD Honest is one I strive for, as well as loyal. Thoughtful, or at least I try to be as well, and modest, so I'll stop here. :D;;

Music of the moment It's been just about 100% rap for me over the last few months, definitely. I'm not quite sure how, though I have an idea. I remember the latest Franz Ferdinand album being more electric than most music I listened to, in particular one song called Lucid Dreams off of it, which got me to try some more electronic stuff: Metric (which I love), MGMT (which mreh), some other things here and there. This lead to more percussive stuff too, I think, and that coupled with being a huge Community fan and wanting to check out Childish Gambino (Donald Glover's rap alias) lead to me checking out Kanye and Jay-Z, and a few other artists, but mostly those two. It's been a pretty interesting progression, I've gotta say, and I've been loving it. I try to keep an open ear and really do like just about any type of music, for the most part. :)

XP Oh, XP. ♥ It's been such a huge part of my life for the last year, not only in terms of being a place to write things myself and to read others' awesome writing, but it's lead to me meeting a lot of truly awesome people and making some great friends out of it. :) On top of that, as if that wasn't enough, it's gotten me back into writing again for which I'm truly grateful, and has given me a bit more ambition to try and write even more this year (I'm trying the Get Your Words Out challenge this year for example). I'm oh so very glad that I finally decided to apply for it and am very happy to be a part of it. :D

Tell me you've read Feed by Mira Grant. Please, please tell me that. And also Deadline. I've never read a zombie book I liked more - and I did read World War Z. I liked Feed/Deadline better. *grins*
