I feel sorry for them. I hope they had a vault, but . . . . the amount of stuff they'll never recover is astonishing.

Yeah, I hope so too. I was downtown yesterday and passed by the building and wow, it's crazy how much damage was done and how much they lost.

The news is saying now they back up documents electronically and that's keep off site . . . but still. Can you imagine?

That's good, but yeah, I can't even begin to fathom the loss of all the hard copies, the hardware (though I'm sure they're insured but still, what a hassle), the sentimental element (it was nice office, at least what little of it I'd saw), what a shame.

just the loss of the little jot notes and stickies I have floating around my office would be a loss . . .

Yeah, that's true, there are so many little things like that. I've got a little sticky I use as my quick reference "phone book" of sorts that I'd be annoyed if I lost, for example, losing things like that would be bad enough of a loss alone.
