Whew, it was a good weekend! I finally caught up in NaNo tonight, with 35,195 words at the moment. Yay! I did a looooooooot of writing yesterday and today to get back on track with things. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up the pace and hit the 50,000 goal by the end of the month.
I also watched the two movies I've had all week from the 'net rental people. Gold Rush, an old Charlie Chaplin movie, and Army of Darkness. Both were very cool, though I'd seen AoD before. It'd been awhile, and well, it's a damn cool movie. :D I'd never seen any Charlie Chaplin stuff before, and this one was great! I had seen a lot of references to this movie in The Simpsons, but didn't realize it until now hehe. And it's almost 80 years old, holy crap.
Been trying to read more lately too, though I haven't had much time all weekend, what with the feverish pace of writing and all. I'm picking up where I left off with How To Be Canadian though, and I also have a few other books that I'm in the middle of to finish off. I'd like to finish them before Christmas, as my sister and I compiled mutual wishlists online last night and sent them to each other, each with a few books on the list. I think I'll have a lot more time to read over the holidays, not so much now. Especially this month, since I still have to meet the daily word count and all, but that should be ok now as long as I don't run out of plot. Seeing as how I haven't even really introduced the antagonists yet, I should be ok, heh.
Also, the Seinfeld gift set comes this week, yay! I preordered it awhile ago after much deliberation, and it's a lot cheaper to do that than to buy it later. Plus it's too expensive for a Christmas gift, at least that's part of my justification, shh. :) Spiderman 2 comes out soon too, and I think Harry Potter is out on Tuesday. I preordered that too, it'll be the last one I need to buy to finish my commitment to Columbia House. Our first Christmas party is this coming weekend too, one that the court house throws each year. Then the big town one, where a lot of the business and stuff have at the hotel with a big buffet / dance, is two weeks from that. Then finally we have a more intimate supper and Secret Santa bit at our office just before Christmas. It's starting, people! I also need to do my Christmas cards this weekend. Don't forget, if you want one let me know!
I have a lot of work this week too, I think. I'm not going to worry about that until tomorrow though, I don't think it'll be all that busy anyway. There'll likely be another court appearance though, and possibly one before the Tax Court of Canada on an appeal, omg! I suspect the boss will do that though, it's well beyond my scope of experience. The Tax Court is actually in Ottawa, but they sit in rural areas sometimes for appeals and the like, and it'll be in the city. It'd be nice to do it in one way, since I'd have to leave Wednesday afternoon to go in, and then stay all day Thursday for it. I'd likely take Friday off then, since I'd have to leave then to come back here and I'd get back to work around lunch Friday. It'd be just as well to make it a long weekend if that's the case. Anyway, I think it's a moot point, since the boss will likely have to do it.
Anyway, off to bed. This is the best mood I've been in on a Sunday night that I can ever remember, really. Yay! ^_^
