Much like onlyonechoice, I also have incomplete memes and works in progress I think, but this sounds like fun. XD

1. I write down a list of 10 characters.

2. You choose however many of those you like and ask me a question about them. Examples: "What happens when 5 and 9 are forced to take care of a baby?" or "1, 4, and 8 walk into a bar. What happens next?" or "What does 3 do when s/he finds out that 10 is pregnant with 7's child?" You get the idea. :D

3. I tell you about these scenarios!

The more questions the better.

Malcolm Reynolds (Firefly) comes across Rupert Giles (BtVS) contemplating jumping off a bridge.

Putting aside the whole 'from a different time' issue, Malcolm would likely come across Giles peering over a bridge, not standing on top or anything but silently looking down and wondering if he'd be better off jumping and ending it all. Mal, able to recognize that look or people with that thought pattern bouncing around inside their skulls after Serenity Valley, chats him up. Probably tells him some sad stories of his own, and how the best you could do is to not give up. Giles would never admit to having thought that, of course, and talking to Mal makes him comes to his senses. Mal would probably try to recruit him to become part of the crew. XD
