So, wow. I'm not American of course but good on you, our neighbours to the south. I only wish we would've been able to ditch our Conservative leader when we tried last month, though a minority Conservative government will have to do for now once again. It was awesome to see so many people on here getting out to vote and being passionate about it, very awesome you guys. :D And to see that and to see the right person for the job actually win, in a landslide no less? Fantastic! I never had a problem visiting a Bush controlled America to see
believeitup (I'd go anywhere for that, any time, naturally ♥) but I'm even more excited to go back there when there's a new Commander-in-Chief at the helm. Well, ok, since I'm going back in December he'll still only be President Elect, but still. :D
I am still rudderless NaNo-wise and I have no real idea how to connect the disparate plot ideas I have in my mind. Well, I have a few ideas, but I'm failing at executing them. Maybe over lunch I can work on it some more, though tonight is reserved for LOTRO time with
believeitup,
onlyonechoice, and
elsewhere7, so we'll see how that goes.
Other than that, not a lot else to report on, really. I helped my grandmother fix her computer last night, it's so old and low on space, took me forever to delete some older programs off of it so she'd stop getting those annoying 'running low on HD space on drive C:' messages. Now she can play her Mahjong and solitaire games in peace, hehe. After that I met with my lovely fiancée in LOTRO for a bit until she had to nap, then I deeded on my Guardian for a bit, quit and opened NaNo, stared at it for 5-10 minutes before getting a text that
believeitup was awake, recaffeinated and good to go, so I hopped back on LOTRO and we duo'd until ~1am my time, when it was both bedtime and after McCain's concession speech. I then got in bed and fell asleep after watching Obama's victory speech, huzzah! All in all, it was a good day. :)
