Tonight has been pretty relaxing so far. I'm working on my NaNo little by little, getting through it. The first day was slow, the second was really productive, and yesterday was slow again. Today hasn't been all that productive, really; I pecked out a few hundred words or so lunch time and have been thinking more so than writing tonight. I meant to spend more time at it but alas, I had to help my grandmother fix her computer at her house after work, and after supper I hopped on LOTRO to meet my beautiful fiancée but then she had to nap so I ended up killing brigands, orcs, and goblins for deed (yay for +2 Justice, +1 Valour and Return to Thorin's Hall traits!).
NaNo has been a lot of fun, as always, but I've had more fun writing these people (Ruby, Sara et al) again. It's like slipping into my favourite hoodie or picking up a favourite old book I haven't read in years. I really love these two and writing about them, even (especially really) during the mundanities of day to day life, it's just so natural and easy to do. Even if I don't finish making up a plot for something to actually happen with them, it's been so great just churning out the 4,000 or so words I've done so far.
I've also been working on booking tickets to see
believeitup in December. Right now I'm thinking I can spend around two weeks with her, omg, from ~Saturday December 20th until possibly Saturday January 3rd. I've been trying to make it work using Aeroplan points for a near-free flight one way; I don't have enough points for a full one, you see, but I can pay to 'top off' my points and pay only $100 or so towards it. At least I could have a few weeks ago; I think it was ~$150 or so then, but now they're all $200+, so I'm leaning towards paying for both legs of the trip and then just using those Aeroplans for a hopefully 100% free one way ticket to see her in May, when her friend is getting married. We'll see though, I definitely want to book it ASAP because a.) just knowing there's a date certain for getting see mah babeh again will do me a world of good, and b.) the sooner I get it, the cheaper it will be. Also, I guess, c.) wait too long and there may not be enough room, which, yeah, I don't even want to think about. So we'll see how that goes.
