Ok, I should be asleep by now, and I will be soon. I just felt the need to check my e-mail and such, and couldn't help but share this little story.
I came into the city tonight around supper time, and after dropping my stuff off here at my sister's place I called up my friend Mark to see if he wanted to get a coffee or something. He works in here now and doesn't have a car, in fact on MSN earlier today he was saying how he wanted to rent this movie but Blockbuster was too far away, and he didn't want to take the bus, etc. etc. So I call him up to see if he wants to hit BB, maybe get some food, whatever. He's at work so I drive down there to get him.
When I get there I call him on his cell and wait for him to come down. I parked in the front of his building, on Duckworth St. (useless to no one but
bunnytough really, but a fairly old and busy street). The entrance is actually around the corner, but I reckon he'll peek around the corner and see me once he comes out. He doesn't, and after waiting for 10 mins. or so he calls back and I tell him to look around the damn corner, hehe.
The funny part though is during that 10 minutes, about 5 mins. after I got there, I'm sitting in the car, playing with my phone (it's still new to me and a great toy :D) when someone opens the door and sticks their head in. The first thing I noticed was the cigarette dangling from their lips, which is odd because Mark doesn't smoke. Then I see it's not Mark, hehe. It's some girl I've never seen before, and she asks me "Are you waiting here for me?" It takes a second or two to register what's going on, and I all but flail and gesture wildly at Mark's building before spitting out "No, I'm waiting for someone else, in there. Sorry." Why I apologized, I don't know, but she just shuts the door and walks back to the corner by Mark's building and stands there.
Good times! XD
