NaNo

Hmmm, I think I need a writing icon. Maybe I will get on that tomorrow at some point. For tonight though it's alright. I did end up choosing to attempt NaNo for those of you that are interested, and while I only typed out a scant 285 words on Day 1, this afternoon I caught up and am now on the 1,666 per day pace and sitting at 3,365 words. I have a very loose idea of where things are going to go and what characters are involved (as the icon implies and as some of you are familiar with, it's more Ruby/Sara stuff) but nothing concrete is set up yet. But hey, NaNo is all about winging it and making it up as you go along, right? Exactly.

The weekend was good, I got to spend a lot of time with LOTRO, playing with believeitup, onlyonechoice, and girlyduck, and even took down the Balrog once, so good times were had. That's about all I did really, aside from work on NaNo, but it was nice and relaxing (some computer issues that frustrated me aside). Hopefully everyone else had a nice weekend too. Wish I had more to say but alas, not at this moment. There are some things I need to look into this week so maybe I can update on them later, but for now it's after 1am so it's time for bed!

I am trying to get to my 1,666/day...am at a little over 2000 right now. BTW, I'm excited about reading Ruby/Sara XD.

OMG, you have a word pace? :| Ugh, I actually got around to writing an outline and character ideas for the first time, but I haven't even started writing writing, ya know? Now I feel behind thanks to you! :O

Haha, that's just what you need to average over 30 days to meet 50,000 words, that's all. I only wrote 285 words on the first day but had a good catch up day yesterday, hehe. You can do it! :D

Of course you downed the Balrog... after I went to bed. I just didn't see it getting any better anytime soon, so I'm still pleased with my choice to, ya know, sleep instead. My coworkers admired my dedication in staying up so later Friday-Saturday; the WoWers even congratulated me on getting two pieces of armor. With both expansions coming soon there's a lot of "How the hell do I translate that?" gaming talk going in at work. I am, sadly, the only LotROer.

Yeah, I felt bad that we couldn't do it while you were there. :/ You did make the right call, it took us awhile to regroup and take another shot at it so you would've been up way, way later than you wanted. We will get you in on a successful run soon, promise! :D
