Hope everyone's had a relaxing holiday so far! Things have been great here and I still have a full week left to enjoy, woo! There's been a lot of goings on in the last few days and I shall try to summarize them below.

After my last update on Tuesday, I picked Sara up at work in mah newly rented Mazda 6 motor vehicle and brought her home, where we got all dressed up and went out for supper at the Chart House restaurant. Very nice place, I recommend it to others, a lot of sea food though so be careful. I had a steak and it was very well done (medium-well, to be precise) and Sara had a lovely seafood dish. Someone had mysteriously delivered roses to our table too, to my surprise and delight, since we were celebrating our anniversary, her birthday, Christmas, and New Year's all in one, hehe. It was a good time, and the trip to and from the place was no trouble at all. It even had valet parking, my first ever experience with the same.

Wednesday was a pretty crazy day. Sara had to work, and her roommate, the lovely [livejournal.com profile] onlyonechoice, woke up early that morning (~4am or so) with a bad pain. I volunteered to take her to the hospital and we both stayed there for about 12 hours until she was fully seen to, aside from me leaving for an hour or so to bring Sara to work. Thankfully she's ok now for the most part, but we were all in panic mode there for awhile. After getting prescriptions filled and taking her back home, I left to get Sara again. We didn't really do all that much that night since we were all pretty much exhausted and it was Christmas Eve. Some LOTRO was had, of course, by Sara and I, until a bit too late in the morning (it was going for 3 by the time we both had signed off), but it was a nice ending to what was a crazy day.

Thursday was Christmas, yay! Lots of presents were exchanged and a good time was had by all. T's parents came over for an hour or so, bringing us a yummy Christmas dinner that we heated up for supper, which was fantastic of them. We spent the afternoon playing new games on the Wii and the night was very laid back too. We watched one of Sara's movies that evening and just relaxed, it was a pleasant holiday.

Boxing Day Sara had to work again, so I dropped her off at the store after we both finally got up. Mmmm, sleeping in for the win. I took the opportunity to use the rental and explore a little, first browsing around Target, then hitting another minimall for some Arby's for lunch, then browsing through a Wal-Mart and other associated stores, then headed back home to watch part of the House marathon with T. Before Sara got off work I headed out to top off the car's fuel, as I had to bring it back today, and also hit the WaWa for some ice cream, picked up some pop for the apartment, got a little surprise supper for Sara (since I knew she'd be hungry after a long day of work) and then went to pick her up. When we got home we just watched more tv, followed by Sara LOTROing it up a bit and me playing with my DS until we called it a night.

Saturday was a busy day! We got up early-ish to get to Pet Smart to pick up our cat, who is yet to be officially named. Check out [livejournal.com profile] believeitup's most recent LJ post for some pics of mah little buddeh, he's so cute hehe. I've spent a lot of the day with him trying to make him feel at home, the last round of which ended with him climbing on my lap and deeming me worthy of petting him repeatedly, d'aww. So cute! After we picked him up and brought him home I went to return the rental, then they drove me back here. Sara had to shower and go to work, so T and I dropped her off and then went out on our own. We had a nice lunch at Chili's and then hit up Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, and T's comic book shop before heading back home. I got a strategy guide for the new 360 game mah babeh got me (Fallout 3, woo) and other misc. stuff, including the new Paul Simon lyrics book I wanted. Then I hung out with the cat some more until I needed a break, and here I am, typing this up. Ta da!

Alright, that's a long enough break for me. Back to the cat for another... *checks time* ...2 hours, maybe? Hmmm, perhaps with a break in between, then it's off to pick up Sara at work. I think I shall take my DS back with me and maybe a book or two. It's a little cramped in there but he's so cute and totally worth it, and even though he's getting better and better at not constantly meowing when left alone I hate to think of the poor lil' guy in there by himself. Time to go hang out with Dad's little buddy again! :D
