Dear Author letter - NPT 2014

Hi dear author,

First off, thank you for writing me something, and I'm sure I'll love whatever it is you decide to write! I can't wait to see what you come up with, and hopefully you've had fun writing it as well.

I'm not all that picky when it comes to requests, as you'll no doubt see when you read my notes below. Happy endings, sad endings, major character death, angst, all are ok with me. The only things I really don't want to see are incest, underage, rape/non-con, and dubcon, please.

With that being said, here's some more specific comments on the fandoms/characters I've requested:


Community

Abed Nadir, Troy Barnes, Annie Edison, Britta Perry: This is another awesome show where I love pretty much all the main characters. I don't ship Abed/Troy and really would prefer to have them just be friends, please. In picking these four characters I was thinking about something after Annie moved in with Troy and Abed, and while Troy was dating Britta. I can picture Britta having stayed over one night and an awkward, awesome breakfast the next morning perhaps, or maybe the four of them trying to watch a movie in the apartment one night. Or maybe Abed forces them all to play a board game, him and Troy versus the girls. Anything would be awesome!


How I Met Your Mother

Ted Mosby, Mother | Tracy McConnell, Marshall Eriksen, Lily Aldrin: I don't really watch much television on a live basis, it's mainly Netflix or on DVD/Bluray these days, but this show was an exception. The ending... well, I won't spoil it in case you've not seen it, but I'd be ok with you substituting your own ending, should you wish to do so, if you're writing around that time or later. Or feel free to write about the characters before the ending, or before the show even. I'll be honest in that I've never really been a huge Ted fan, funnily enough, but I love the Mother and to see her in any way, shape, or form I'm ok with including him, haha. Marshall/Lily are also my OTP and I love their friendship with Ted too, but if you'd rather just focus on Ted/Mother then that's fine too.


Parks and Recreation

Leslie Knope, Ann Perkins, Ben Wyatt: Leslie and Ben are just so awesome together, though before them became an item I must admit I pretty much shipped Leslie/Ann. I'd love to see something where Ann comes to visit, maybe in the future after the season finale of the show, or if you'd like to write something before Ann's departure from Pawnee that'd be great too. Again with this show I love pretty much the entire cast so anyone else you'd like to add would be great as long as it focuses on these three for the most part.


Pretty Little Liars

Hanna Marin, Spencer Hastings: I started to watch this show just because one of its actresses was a PB for a character I took over in an RP, and I started to enjoy it more than I thought I would. I ship Spencer/Hanna for some reason, I don't know why, it just clicks for me for some reason. If you don't ship them and/or don't want to write femslash, that's cool too, but if you do I'd ask you to please have them be in college or older if at all possible. My head!canon has them being roommates in college (though they don't necessarily go to the same school), or Hanna moves in with Spencer while she's working or something, so I'd rather see them in that kind of setting if at all possible. Anything you'd like to write would be great!


Thor (Movies)

Jane Foster, Darcy Lewis: I love these two characters and would love to see anything you'd like to write about them. You can set it pre-movies, in between the two movies, post-movies, around Avengers, anything would be awesome. Maybe you can write how they first met and how Darcy applied for her internship, or about one time when Jane tried to do something Darcy wanted to do in which Jane had little to no interest - a concert, clubbing, shopping. Really, anything would be great! I do ship them, but if femslash is not your thing then that's more than ok too. :)


Welcome to Night Vale

Cecil Palmer, The Faceless Old Woman, Dana, Kevin: I love this podcast show so much, even though I normally don't get into podcasts. Anything and any way you want to write this would be great, the few things I've tried to write in this fandom have been scripts of an original episode as read by Cecil but if you'd like to write something from another character's point of view or in another format altogether go for it! I've chosen a somewhat random smattering of characters because, well, the show itself is often somewhat random, haha.
