Getting it out somewhere did seem to help, it appears. At least a little, anyway; my trial is now done today and went pretty well, which is always nice. And while I still couldn't find any more available routes to see my friend in SK, they apparently added more ways to book a flight to Philadelphia, soooooooo since it's officially impossible to get to SK next week, I used my points to book my Christmas travel instead. I was certain I'd have to pay for that, even called the agent over a week ago to see about prices - she never called me back so haha, her loss, my gain. So yeah, flying down on December 23rd (hmm, that day is special for some reason, can't quite put my finger on it...) and then back on January 8th, a Saturday, staying a bit longer than usual to make up for going there a bit later than usual. So that's good, right? Yes, yes it is.

Still talking to my buddy to maybe arrange a trip in the New Year, once both of our finances have settled down somewhat, so it's not given up on entirely, it'll just have to wait awhile. We have more time to plan now, too, which is good, and it'll work out in the end. The added bonus about not having to pay for Christmas travel was a nice touch, too, that'll help a lot with immediate financial constraints and whatnot, so yeah, a bit of good news finally.

Everything's still far from completely ok, of course, I just didn't expect things to start to swing around so quickly, but there you have it. I should complain on here more often, haha. XD

Ugh, I'm sorry about your trip falling through. But I'm glad you were able to use your miles for something, and you still have something to look forward to, even if it's further in the future than you were hoping.

Yeah, it sucks, but that's life. It was good I could still use 'em and all though, that'll save me a ton of money I thought I was gonna have to spend anyway, so that's the silver lining indeed. :)
