I really don't have a strong opinion either way... I certainly don't go out of my way to be in pictures but I don't try to avoid them either. *shrugs* Lately I've been more self-conscious; see, for example, how my Facebook profile pic has remained a Team Canada jersey from a popular app which allowed you to make a jersey circa the Olympics. I've not changed it since, partly because I want to use something new (i.e. not used before, not necessarily brand new) and I can't find one, and partly because any new pictures I've taken of myself I just don't like. :/ Which was actually a factor in me trying to lose weight.
Back when I used to go out more often for house parties and such, which was mainly a few years ago now, it was practically de rigeur for everyone to take their camera, snap as many pics as possible, then post them all online or whatnot. The prevalence of Facebook and other sites, though, has downplayed that, I think; most of the people I hang out with now are teachers, lawyers, engineers, gov't workers, etc., and they all (myself included to a degree) are way more cautious of what kind of pictures are taken of them and - more importantly - if/where they are posted for people to see. I don't feel anxious mainly because I just don't go out that much any more and when I do it's in a small group where there's not a lot of camera-happy people anymore. And when I do see them, I don't bother to link them or hide them.
I guess I'm just largely indifferent. XD
