You know how sometimes people on your friendslist post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

NAME: Jeffrey Slade. I always tell everyone to just call me Jeff, even clients. Being called Mr. Slade, as cliched as it sounds, really does make me wonder if my father's around or whatnot. XD

AGE: I'll be 33 in April, omg. I need to start planning out my midlife crisis, hmm. Ok, not really, hehe. I sometimes still look at my age in relation to, say, an NHL player. I remember turning 19 and being like, oh hey, kids my age are being drafted and playing pro hockey and making millions of dollars! And being 25 or so and thinking that pro players my age at that time were in their prime, haha. Now I'd be a wily veteran, I guess, a solid captain on a good team maybe? Ok, that's patting myself on the back maybe, but shh. ;)

LOCATION: Carbonear, NL. I've been back home for a little over three years now, actually, and still living at home with the folks. Looking around for houses and whatnot, but as things with

believeitup and I are still somewhat up in the air - I've been looking at other employment opportunities, and we're both still working on immigration issues - it makes it hard to get settled down and all, at this point anyway. We're working on it, though, which is the important thing. :)

OCCUPATION: Barrister/Solicitor/Notary Public. Got six years under my belt now, just four more and I can put my name on the list for a judgeship. XD Yeaaaaaaah, that's not gonna happen. It's... been getting better, I suppose, some administrative / salary adjustments lately have made my job much better overall, but I'm still not a big fan of my profession. Hence the aforementioned looking around at other options, though who knows what'll come of any of that, if anything.

PARTNER:

believeitup :D December 3rd will mark our 3rd anniversary since we started dating, and we just passed the six month mark of marriage on November 20th. I'm going to visit her in just under three weeks, omg, I cannot wait, I miss my wife so much. We talk every day, of course, which is my favourite part of every day, and - at the risk of getting sappy - I can't even remember what I used to do before we were together. ♥

KIDS: Someday I would like to have some, I think! Of course this isn't only up to me, and my wife and I have talked about it a little. We'll see what happens once we're both together and settled down somewhere, those are the more immediate concerns at the moment, which we need to work out before we can start planning a family or anything along those lines.

BROTHERS/SISTERS: One sister, four years younger than I am, who recently celebrated her seventh anniversary with her boyfriend, and they've got a house together in the city. She's working on her PhD and is about halfway there, and is traveling to San Diego later this week for a conference, lucky girl. Her life is so much more together than mine is, wtf me, but yay for my sister, I'm very happy for her and proud of her. :)

PARENTS: Both are still alive and together, and I'm still living with them, heh. Mom has been working out of the house for years now and loves it, makes it so much easier for her to get things done both at work and around the house, and gives her a huge degree of independence. Dad's not too happy with his job, really, not so much because of the work itself but because of the competition / other workers around him, which sucks because he doesn't deserve the stress it's giving him. That's where I get it from, I think, as I stress out very easily too. :/ Both are doing well overall, though, which is a good thing.

PETS: Simon, my cat!son, who is currently living with his mom in PA. I miss my little buddy, even if he's pretty crazy. XD He also has his own Twitter account, which I know nothing about at all, nope, shh. XD

LIST THE 3-5 BIGGEST THINGS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE:

1. The job. - kept this from

beanarie's answers; it's always going on, never stops.

2. My trip to see Sara in less than three weeks omg. :D Cannot waaaaaaait, it'll be for a little over two weeks too, one of my longest visits, and I sorely need both the time with her and the time away from work.

3. Looking around for other jobs and whatnot. I'm not getting very far with this, but realizing that, yes, I do have options and am not stuck doing something I hate for the rest of my life is refreshing in and of itself, even if I don't find anything else right away.

4. LOTRO. Haha, my #1 pastime and way of interacting with my spouse at the current time, so yes, this is one of the bigger things going in with me. :)

WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR CLOSEST FRIENDS?

Shawn: One of my best friends since kindergarten, I still get to see him all the time, which is good!

Brad: Met him in university and still play LOTRO and other MMOs with him, I love talking to him and he's been a great shoulder for me lately. He's the man! Hoping to spend even more time with him in LOTRO once the new expansion comes out on Tuesday. :)

Mark: A good friend of mine who opened my eyes and got me to consider jobs outside of what I have. He's married and living in Ottawa now and has been a great help with me in looking around for other employment opportunities. :)

YOU GUYS: Much like JM, I don't want to leave anyone else out. I love having a group of friends on here to read about their lives and to have read about mine, to comment on, etc., it means a lot to me, even if I don't write / comment as much as I should lately. I hope everyone's doing ok! :)
