stupid job

Well, I finally got a computer in my office today, after waiting for well over a year. Unfortunately, it's the crappy old 486 that was in the spare office. What the office manager did was give me that one, putting her old one (a Pentium II) in the spare office. She got a new one, of course. And then she had the network guy put the internet only on the PII in the spare office, not hooking me up and removing it from the other young lawyer. The other lawyer could do research online (and surf a little hehe) from her cmoputer just fine, but no no, we have to share the PII now. I'm thinking that they think we spend too much time online, or something. So the real reasoning behind this is to cut us off. Because otherwise, it's plain stupid to cut off the other lawyer's 'net and me altogether when we could both be using good computers in our offices. The 486 is better off being the dummy computer the printer in the spare room needs. Grrrr. I mean, come. on. The last time I used Windows 95 I was probably a teenager. >.>

Anyway... other than that, work was good today. I do like having a computer, even if it is teh suck. And to make up for it, I'm going to play the fuck out of Minesweeper whenever I can. It's my own form of protest. >D I also got some stuff done, so yay for that. And I found out today that Van Helsing is out on DVD today. I'm toying with the idea of buying the deluxe edition, mostly for the older, original horror movies they have with it supposedly hehe. I'll go to the mall and check it out anyway. *nods* Tomorrow's the half-way point of the week too, yay! It also means Subway for lunch, mmmmm. *has a schedule*

I made some more icons too, I'm starting to like doing that. :) And I started Season Three of Angel. omg Fred is the. cutest. ever. She wins!

Well, time for bed I think. I meant to go even earlier tonight. *sigh* One of these nights, I will, I swear! This is actually pretty good for me, going before 12:30. Baby steps! :)
