it's time for a change, what else could I do?
We cleaned up the garbage and debris that was piled up outside the house after the immediate flood clean up, and moved it down to the garbage can so it can be taken away. We also moved the old, waterlogged carpet that's partly dried out and put it down on the floor in the garage, which actually fits kinda well, heh. It may stink up the place for a bit, but if it dries out and can be used for, I dunno, somewhere outside sometime or something, it could be useful. Either way, can't just throw it away as it was, so doing this for now.
I also brought back my laptop which I'd left down there for so long, mainly so I can watch some DVDs later at night when we have our border staying with us without fear of bugging her. She's in bed, lights out, by 10pm or so, and I sometimes don't even put show on until then or 11, heh. This way I can watch things in bed with my headphones and not be annoying her. It'll also maybe get me in bed earlier in general, so I can surf / check mail and what not while in bed instead of staying up and online on the desktop. We'll see how that works anyway.
I've also been thinking about things in general and trying to work my mind around some things, which has been helpful too. I think I've managed to wrestle down a few things that have been bugging me for awhile, at least the ones that I can handle at the moment, and have been able to identify the ones that I can't right now and hopefully that will help be deal with them. At any rate, it's good to be able to put my finger on things, so to speak, and we'll see what happens I guess.
