so!
So, I am home again. My plane landed at ~3:20am on Sunday morning, after a much smoother set of flights coming back from Philadelphia than I had getting there, of course. Bah, still a little sore that Air Canada basically cost me a precious evening with my fiancée, but not much that can be done about it now. After getting off the plane I called Sara, got my luggage, then drove back home with the folks through a snowy night, causing a longer trip, and collapsed across the door at 5:45am or so. Needless to say I'm still sort of adjusting to the time difference / lack of sleep, having woken up at like 4pm yesterday and working today. I feel better now though and hopefully the rest of the week will go well.
The trip was fantastic overall. I summarized the first week back in another post, and the last week was a little bit more laid back, if anything.
believeitup continued to work and I brought her lunch one day, helped her catch the bus, etc., and continued to spend more money, heh. Our New Year's Eve was very laid back, with her,
onlyonechoice, and I going out to TGIF for supper and seeing an early showing of The Spirit, which I liked but didn't really love. We stayed at home and watched many episodes of Robot Chicken until the New Year came, and then it was straight to bed for Sara and I as she had to open on New Year's Day, ugh. The rest of the trip after that consisted of spending as much time together as we could and a final supper for all three of us together at Famous Dave's BBQ, which was delish. Then I had to get dropped off at the airport and, well. Boourns.
I had a great time though, and even though Sara had to work it was kinda nice to be there and be part of the day-to-day goings on with the ladies. Seeing the new cat was nice too, Simon is so adorable, omg. And of course getting to celebrate
believeitup's birthday, our anniversary, Christmas, and New Year's all in one trip? Priceless, absolutely.
In other news, Canada beat Sweden 5-1 for the gold medal tonight in the World Juniors hockey tournament, woo! Five in a row, baby. :D And work went well today despite dreading it since, oh, some time last week maybe while in Philly, heh. Here's hoping the rest of the week goes as well!
